If your laptop trackpad's right click doesn't work or has suddenly stopped working, it is a common driver related issue in Windows 10. Lately, owners of the latest ASUS ROG Strix gaming laptops have been experiencing the same problem a lot. Your trackpad, that was working perfectly fine a few days ago, doesn't do anything when you right click it. The normal double tapping will open apps or highlight words but without the right click working, you won't be able to access to a lot of useful options.  So how do you fix the rick click button of your trackpad? First thing you must do, is check whether it is a physical damage that is causing the issue. Usually old laptops may have a permanently damaged trackpad and the trackpad may also not work if you've dropped your laptop or smashed the trackpad accidentally. Of course you can always use a mouse as an alternative solution but if it's a driver issue then why not try ad fix it. If your trackpad has just stopped working by itself, then it is probably a software issue and can be fixed.  Here are all the possible solutions for ASUS ROG laptop's trackpad right click not working issue:  (Apply similar methods to fix trackpad issues on any brand of laptop)

1. Check for windows update:

Sometimes the trackpad issue may arise due to a faulty windows update. You can go to control panel and then open Windows update settings and turn automatic update on. Or simply, check for updates and then install it. On Windows 10, press the windows key and type "windows update settings" and select it. Then click "check for updates". If there were any pending updates, let them install and then restart your PC and check whether the trackpad right click issue is fixed.

2. Uninstall and re-install ATK Driver Package:

This fix actually fixed the trackpad issue on my ASUS ROG Strix GL502VM gaming laptop. Before installing the latest ATK Driver from your laptop manufacturer's website, you may have to uninstall it first from the control panel. So, open control panel (press windows key and type "control panel"). Then click "uninstall a program" under Programs. On the search bar type "ATK" and then proceed to uninstall "ATK Package". Now you will be prompted to reboot your PC.

After restart, go to your laptop manufacturer's website and find the latest ATK Driver Package. Also, make sure you have selected the driver for the right operating system. For ASUS ROG laptops here is the link: Download latest ATK Driver Pack for ASUS laptops . After downloading the package, unzip or extract it to a folder and then run the setup. Then restart your PC and then your trackpad's right click should start working.

3. Restore Windows to factory settings:

Some users have also fixed their laptop's trackpad click issue, by restoring Windows to its factory or default version that came pre-installing in the laptop. Here is how you can restore windows 10 to its factory settings:

  • Click Start  (windows key)
  • Then click on settings (the gear icon above the power icon)
  • Select "Windows Update & Security"
  • Click "Recovery" >> "Get Started"
  • Click "Restore Factory Settings"
  • Now select the choices of your preference depending on whether you want to remove everything on your laptop or just the drive where you've installed windows. Press Next.
  • Finally click :"Restore"
Accessing to Windows 10 Settings
Windows 10 Settings icon
Windows 10 Update & Security, Restore options
Windows 10 Update & Security options for factory reset

Resetting your PC

If the trackpad right click stopped functioning after Windows update, it may start working now that Windows has been restored to its original version. Users have also solved this problem by installing Windows 10 from scratch via USB or bootable disc.

Lately Ive been using Microsoft OneDrive to save some of my files and folders online. OneDrive offers more storage than many other personal cloud storage services and its already installed in Windows 10. The app had been working great but recently I experienced an issue. While trying to sync some picture files, Office 365 documents and backup folders, I was greeted with a Microsoft OneDrive for business has stopped working error. Once this error occurs there is no way to get the app working instantly because you will only get an option to force close the program. However, there is a very easy solution that involves clearing OneDrive data from your PC. Follow the steps below to fix Microsoft OneDrive has stopped working error in Windows 10 ,Windows 8.1 or Windows 7:

How to fix Microsoft One Drive has Stopped Windows Error

Method 1: Restart Windows

Simply restart your PC and then try to login to Microsoft OneDrive. If you still get the app has stopped working error, try the method 2 below, which has been more successful in resolving this issue.

Method 2:Clearing Microsoft OneDrive's app data

  1. First navigate to the following folder location
    • C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive
      • (Tip: Quick Navigate by copying and pasting the above location to the quick access bar on the top of File explore
    • Or navigate to:
      • C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive
  2. Empty the OneDrive folder by deleting or moving all the files and folders to another location.
  3. Now open Microsoft OneDrive again >> login with your username and password
If you still get the error, restart Windows and try to login again. If followed the above steps correctly, the Microsoft OneDrive has stopped working error should now be solved/fixed. If are unable to find the AppData folder refer to the note below:

More details about step 1 (finding the OneDrive folder):
The C:\ could be different if you have installed your Windows OS in a different drive. Also, the user folder may not be there if you have your username set for your PC. Just navigate to either user folder or the folder with your username.

Once inside the user folder, you may not see the AppData folder because it will be hidden. To unhide hidden folders, click the view tab (on the top right of the screen) >> on the far right click on options >>Change folder and search options >> click view tab >> Select show hidden files, folders and drives.

Folder and Search options in "View" tab

Enabling "show hidden files, folders and drives"

Once inside the AppData folder, you can easily navigate to Local\Microsoft\OneDrive

I got the DNS Probe Finished Bad Config error on Chrome browser some days after I fixed another similar error- DNS Server Not Responding. This error also affects other browsers like FireFox, Edge but you get the error in a different format. When this error happens, you will have to refresh the web pages several times before it loads properly. Then it again stops loading and then you will have to refresh it again and again. Bloggers have posted numerous fixes for the Bad config error, but not all have worked for everyone. I tried a number of solutions myself but none of them were very effective i.e. they worked only temporarily. Then I decided to try something myself. Guess what? I managed to fix this error quickly and almost permanently- because I fixed it three days back and I am still not getting the error on my PC. Follow method 1 and 2 to fix the dns_probe_finished_bad_config error in Windows 7. 8.1, 10 or any Windows system:

The Error 0x80004005 is a frequently occurring error that prevents you  from downloading, installing or uptaing apps on Windows apps store. This error is also common in the app store or game store in Xbox 360 and Xbox one. This error is usually caused when you don't have access to the internet. The reasons you may not have your Wi-Fi connected to the internet could be ISP issue, router error or simply some minor operating system bugs. Below are some of the methods you can try to fix the Error 80004005 while updating or installing apps in Windows Store or Xbox store.

How to Fix error 80004005 in Windows Store or Xbox Store

Try a different Wi-Fi/internet connection

The most common cause of the 0x80004005  is a bad internet connection. The first thing you should do is open your browser and run google.com. Is the page opening? If you're getting some kind of server error or no internet connection error, then the problem is with your home internet connection. Sometimes, it can be resolved by simply turning off and turning on your router. Many times it could be a problem with your ISP who is unable to provide you internet connection. (Forgot to pay the bill?). Call them and try to resolve the issue. To check the connection status, you can also look at the Wi-Fi icon on your phone, tablet or PC . If there's no connection, the Wi-Fi icon will have a small cross over it or you can hover over  the icon to see whether "internet access" is available.

If you are trying to update or install apps on your Windows smartphone or tablet, switch to mobile data connection (3G/4G) and now run the installation from the Windows App Store. Note: It is recommended you use mobile data connection only if you're subscribed to an unlimited data package or a reasonably priced plan because large apps or games can use up your mobile data fast.
